Individual Therapy
Counseling? Therapy? Shrinking?
“I like the word ‘therapy’ because it speaks to healing. Having sat 10,000+ hours with my clients over the years, I’ve come to believe that real healing is not a procedure we tolerate, but an experience in which we actively participate.
I’d like to invite you into that experience.
You may be surprised by your own capacity for insight, growth, and healing when you make the space for it.”

Style and Philosophy
- Who’s doing the talking in “talk therapy”? The client does 80% of the talking. Deep listening and thoughtful questions from the therapist help bring next-level clarity.
- Empathetic, direct, and unhurried.
- Questions, analogies, and reflective listening help the client see what they’ve never seen before or feel what they’ve never felt before.
- “Where do you want to go today?” Most sessions start with some variation of this question. The client is in the driver’s seat and determines the direction of each session with support and expert guidance from the passenger (therapist).

- Homework (if requested)

What Clients are Saying…
“Micah is someone you want in your corner life I can promise you. He will fight for your mental health by listening and giving a therapeutic response that is well thought out. He won’t just give you a quick answer that seems out of some textbook he was required to read. He takes his time, thinks deeply, and then responds to your needs. Sometimes he may even be working for you outside of your sessions. He will come back to you in your next session and provide real thought and expand on a conversation from a previous session.”
“As we have explored childhood experiences and trauma, Micah has helped me connect pieces of my past in ways I had never fully understood before. I am so grateful that I can bring anything to our sessions and that Micah draws on a variety of approaches to help me grow. I feel heard, supported, and hopeful. I look forward to continuing this journey of growth for myself and my family. I would wholeheartedly recommend Micah to anyone looking for a compassionate therapist who creates a safe space for meaningful change.”
“Therapy, like life, isn’t always easy, but Micah makes the process meaningful and invaluable. He approaches each session with compassion and meets you where you are, all while helping to guide you through insight, conversation, and evidence-based strategies to become a stronger, more reflective, and less fearful version of your authentic self. My time with Micah has involved productive struggle and hard work, but his grace and wisdom have helped me to feel more at peace and ready to take on all that life has to offer.”
“When I first started seeing Micah, I was going through one of the most difficult periods of my life. I was dealing with the aftermath of an affair, the loss of my job, and the beginning of a divorce. I came to him carrying a great deal of guilt, regret, uncertainty, and fear about what my life was going to look like. I have now been seeing Micah for about three and a half years, and during that time he has helped guide me toward a place of healing and a much healthier understanding of myself. He has helped me recognize that not every negative thing that happens is a result of my own selfishness or failures, and that my own happiness and well-being matter too.”
“One of the things I appreciate most about Micah is the way he approaches therapy. He does not simply tell me what to think or what I should do. Instead, he asks thoughtful and sometimes challenging questions that cause me to examine my assumptions, my choices, and the way I see myself and the people around me. He is remarkably patient and has always provided a space where I can be honest without feeling judged. He also often gives me things to think about or work on between sessions, which has helped the work we do continue well beyond the time I spend in his office.”
“Micah has helped me to find my full potential as a man, husband, and father through giving me an outlet to allow my mind to figure out what is going on inside of it… He is helpful and methodical in his approach. He will challenge you though, so be ready for him to ask follow up questions to help you dive deeper into your challenges.”
